[Hello Luceti! You might hear some frustrated murmurs of a girl who may or may not sound familiar before the screen opens up. Behind her are trees. You might notice that first—OR! The first thing you might notice is the bright gold/white wings on her back, or maybe it’s the twig she failed to find out of her curly golden hair, or maybe it’s the fact that her cat-green eyes look absolutely furious. She pauses, before she begins to speak, posture ramrod straight, lips pursed.]

I find myself in need of assistance, if you please. While I am not familiar with this sort of fontech, I know enough. To those that have successfully taken me away from my kingdom, listen very carefully.

[her lip curls slightly, a bit of that anger in her eyes slowly spreading to her otherwise regal tone of voice ]

I demand to know where I am, immediately. To those of you who are not involved in this ..this indecency [her cheeks color. This is wrong on so many levels. ] I request all the information you can offer me. [she raises her hand to try and reach back and touch what she knows is clearly a hurt back, but her shoulder lances with pain. What did her captors do to her? Dropping it at her side, she looks back at the screen, raising her chin. ]

You will be rewarded, I can promise you that. As for those of you who had the audacity to pull off this joke, take heed: [her voice rises]

How dare you carry out such a despicable act!. Anyone who considers taking away Kimlasca-Lanvaldear’s Princess in broad daylight without her consent is considered from this point an enemy of both herself and His Majesty, King Ingobert the Sixth. You have taken me from my Castle and my people, and I cannot forgive such injustice.

Once I return to my Father’s side, and I will return, you will be found, you will be judged, and you will be punished according to your actions.

[with one more scathing glare, the Princess shuts off the feed]

[Ope. Maybe he shouldn't been a little more cautious, but it's fine. He recovers quick enough, smiling sheepishly.]

Sure! I've been here a long time now, so it's the least I could do.

[Hrmmm.]

Anyway, this place is called Luceti. It's... somewhere in another world, crazy as it sounds. People here come from all kinds of different worlds, and we're pretty much in the same boat. So far, nobody's found a way out, but I heard that time's frozen back in the outside world, so when you do leave, everything'll be the way it was before.

[Which is kinda complicated. Ven still doesn't get the logistics of it. This next part's a little unpleasant, though, and his sheepish smile is quickly replaced by a small frown.]

These guys called the Malnosso run the place. They say they're trying to find a way outta here, but they do all sorts of weird experiments on us. It's not pretty, and I'm sorry you got dragged into it, too. The people here are really nice, though, and they've even set up a Welcome Center for all New Feathers.

[ she processes this in silence, her hands in her lap, sitting on the rock as if it's some ornate chair. so there are more people here than herself and they're suffering. clearly not good. these Malnosso are the cause. also not good. will have to meet them and discuss this.

and also another world? yes tear explained that. ]

Do you know where these Malnosso are located? They need to be punished severely for putting you all in this situation.

[ there's controlled anger in her voice ]

[Ven sighs, looking away for a moment. He can tell she's upset, and that makes him feel upset, being the empathetic derp that he is.

But, well, he might as well be frank about it.]

Nobody knows where they're at, but it's probably somewhere outside the barrier.

A barrier? That they would go such lengths! Has there ever been contact?

Sometimes they talk to us over the journals, but it's usually only when they're gonna send us out to fight.

To fight?

Yeah. Sometimes they'll send people out to fight this group called the Third Party. It doesn't matter if they don't know how; once they're drafted, they've gotta go.

...To have innocents partake in war not of their own free will. It's indescribable.

Have you been drafted?

[He nods slowly.]

Yeah. I've been out there about three times now. I know how to fight, but I still can't believe they'd send out kids and people who don't know how to defend themselves.

..I'm sorry. It must have been so difficult..--here I am making a fuss when you all have suffered far worse.

Hey, it's okay.

[Ven shakes his head, offering a sympathetic smile.]

You didn't know. Besides, I'm glad I could be there to protect everybody.

I see...in that case, I suppose all I can do, is do the same.

Don't worry. Even if you do get drafted, we're all in this together. Tough times call for teamwork, the way I see it.

Now that you mention it, you seem to be familiar with me. Have we met somewhere?

Well, this'll probably sound kinda strange, but you were here a long time ago.

[Almost a year ago now.]

But my name's Ventus. Ven for short.

But--how can that be? I have no recollection of this place!

[ she tilted her head ]

Shall I call you Ven, then?

Sometimes people forget about this place. I still don't get how it works, but don't worry about it.

[After all, she can always form new memories! As for that second bit.]

Anyway, that's up to you. Ven's more of a nickname, but most of my friends use it.

I see..were we friends? I have to apologize that I..had 'forgotten' you.

Just because you forgot doesn't mean we can't still be friends. And there's nothing wrong with a fresh start, either!

..I'd like to be friends. I think that's an excellent idea. I admit dealing with this alone would be difficult.

Well, if you need help, I'll see what I can do. I've been here for a long time, so I know the ins and outs of this place.
